Our collection of courses for the annual training of Michigan home caregivers. Michigan home care providers operate under 42 C.F.R. § 440.167 - Personal care services, and generally require caregivers to participate in 12 or more hours of training per year.
This collection contains 11 courses, totalling 12 hours of training, and covers a number of topics including, client’s rights, the physical, emotional, and developmental characteristics of the population served by the agency, infection control, emergency response, the reporting of elder abuse, basic housekeeping, nutrition and meal preparation, safe transfers, an introduction to dementia care, and a course on communication strategies in dementia care.
This collection can be used as is, or combined with any of our other courses to create an educational, and engaging, annual training program for your Michigan-based home caregiver team.
