Our collection of courses for the annual In Service training of Assisted Living Staff in Utah is designed to align with the requirements stated in Section R432-270-9 - Personnel of the Utah Administrative Code.
This collection contains 17 courses, totalling 18 hours of training, and covers a number of topics including, nutrition and hydration, meal planning and food preparation, basic housekeeping, infection control, person-centered care, assisting with medication self-administration, body functions that must be reported, accidents and falls prevention, communication, basic first aid, residents’ rights, and the reporting of elder abuse. Five hours of dementia-specific training includes, an introduction to dementia care, communication strategies in dementia care, managing challenging behaviors in dementia, assisting older adults with dementia with bathing and personal care, and activities for older adults with dementia.
This collection can be used as is, or combined with any of our other courses to create an educational, and engaging, annual in service training program for your Utah-based Assisted Living Direct Care team.
