Our recommended collection of courses for the orientation training of Vermont non-medical caregivers. The state of Vermont does not regulate caregiver training, but we recommended the following courses for the first year of caregiver training with non-medical in-home care agencies in Vermont.
This collection contains 10 courses, totalling 12 hours of training, and covers a number of topics including, professionalism and ethics, working with older adults, client’s rights, communication, infection control, emergency response, assisting with ADLs and iADLs, reporting and documentation, and the reporting of elder abuse.
This collection can be used as is, or combined with any of our other courses to create an informative, and easy to understand, orientation training program that will prepare your Vermont-based caregiver team to provide excellent care.
