Our collection of courses for the annual In Service training of Assisted Living Residence Staff in Rhode Island, is designed to align with the requirements stated in Section 216-RICR-40-10-2.4 - Licensure Requirements and Section 216-RICR-40-10-2.5 - Alzheimer Dementia Special Care Unit/Program License Requirements of the Rhode Island Administrative Code.
This collection contains 16 courses, totalling 18 hours of training, and covers a number of topics including, patients’ rights, confidentiality, responding to and reporting elder abuse, emergency response, and infection control. Twelve hours of required dementia training includes, person-centered dementia care, managing challenging behaviors in dementia, and reducing safety risks for clients with Alzheimer's disease, understanding dementia, Parkinson’s disease dementia, Huntington’s disease dementia, the psychological, social, and physical needs of people with dementia, assisting older adults with dementia with bathing and personal care, activities for older adults with dementia, and dementia palliation.
This collection can be used as is, or combined with any of our other courses to create an engaging, and educational, annual In Service training program for your Rhode Island-based Assisted Living Residences team.
